  • Can I use my card at any ATM and what are the fees?

    We don't charge any transaction fees to use ATMs, and your card is accepted at over 10,000 fee-free ATMs around Australia, including those branded Commonwealth Bank, ANZ, Westpac, NAB and BankSA. Please be aware other ATM owners may charge a fee.

  • How many Visa payWave transactions can I do one day?

    You are able to complete up to 10 payWave transactions per day per card with a daily limit set at $1,000.

  • What’s the difference between Visa Debit card and Visa Credit card?

    Both cards allow you to purchase items online, over the phone and in over 30 million shops worldwide. They also allow you to withdraw cash at over 1.4 million ATMs worldwide

    The difference is that when you transact with your Visa Debit Card, funds are deducted from your bank account whereas with a Visa Credit Card you are making purchases on credit and we’ll send you a monthly statement outlining your transactions and the outstanding balance of your account.

  • Can I use my card overseas?

    With a Credit Union SA Visa card, you can shop at tens of millions of merchants across the globe and withdraw your money at over 2.1 million ATMs worldwide.

    Let us know before you go

    Before you head off, make sure you let us know your travel plans so we can accurately assess your transactions and notify you immediately if any suspicious activity takes place. You can do this using your Mobile Banking App or Internet Banking.

    Mobile Banking App

    Select Overseas Travel from the drop-down menu, then Travel notifications and follow the prompts.

    Internet Banking

    Select Cards from the top navigation menu, then click Heading overseas and follow the prompts.

    Security

    You’ll be protected by Visa’s Zero Liability Policy. With Visa's Zero Liability policy, you can get protection from fraudulent charges made with your card or account information. This means you can pay with total confidence, knowing you are protected against unauthorised use. 

    Plus, you now have the option to turn international purchases off at any time (for extra security) using Internet Banking or your Mobile Banking App. You can also turn off domestic purchases and ATM withdrawals – which is a good idea if you’re travelling overseas.

  • Are there any fees for using Visa payWave?

    There are no fees for setting up or using the payWave feature on your card. PayWave transactions are treated exactly the same as payments made using the ‘credit’ selection at a terminal.

  • How do I order a card?

    If you want to order a card, please call us on (08) 8202 7777. Alternatively, you can send a Secure Mail message via Internet Banking.

  • Can I use my Visa payWave card at ATMs?

    Yes, the Visa payWave feature on your card will not affect how you normally use your card in an ATM. You will still be required to enter your PIN number to process a transaction.

  • How can I cancel my credit card or reduce my limit?

    Internet Banking

    Log into Internet Banking. In the ‘Cards’ section, select ‘Card Management’ and then follow the prompts to either cancel your credit card or reduce your credit limit. The Card Management section requires Secure SMS or VIP Security validation. You will need to request an SMS or VIP code and validate to be able to proceed.

    Mobile Banking App

    Log into our Mobile Banking App. In the ‘Card Management’ section, select your credit card and then follow the prompts to either cancel your credit card or reduce your credit limit.

    Call or visit us

    Visit us at 400 King William Street, Adelaide or call us on (08) 8202 7777, Country SA 1800 018 227 or +61 8 8202 7777 from overseas. We are open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 2pm Saturday.

  • What do I need to do if my card is damaged, stops working, is lost or stolen?

    If you’ve misplaced your card, you can temporarily deactivate it until it turns up again, using Internet Banking or your Mobile Banking App.

    If you suspect your Credit Union SA rediCARD or Visa Debit card or Visa Credit card may be gone for good, you should cancel it immediately.


    If you’re in Australia:

    • Log in to your Mobile Banking App and go to the ‘Card management’ menu item. Select your card from your card list and then ‘Lost or Stolen card’. Select from either ‘Lost card’ or ‘Stolen card’ and follow the onscreen instructions to cancel it. We will automatically issue you with a new card;

    OR

    • Log in to your Internet Banking and select Cards > Card management. Validate your identity and select ‘Report card lost/stolen’. We will automatically issue you with a new card. (Check your postal address prior to changing the status of your card);

    OR

    • Call our Head Office on (08) 8202 7777 (during business hours) or the 24-Hour Card Hotline on 1800 648 027 (if after hours) to notify us of your lost or stolen card. 

    If you’re overseas:

    • Log in to the Mobile Banking App and go to the ‘Card management’ menu item. Select your card from your card list and then ‘Lost or Stolen card’. Select from either ‘Lost card’ or ‘Stolen card’ and follow the onscreen instructions to cancel it. We will automatically issue you with a new card;

    OR

    • Log in to your Internet Banking and select Cards > Card management. Validate your identity and select ‘Report card lost/stolen’. You will need to request a new card by following the instructions below.

    If you’re overseas and need a replacement card:

    • Call us on +618 8202 7777 (access code required) during business hours to request a replacement card;

    OR

    • Send us a SecureMail message via your Internet Banking with your request and current location for delivery of your replacement card;

    OR

    • Send us a signed fax on +61 8 8211 9457 with your request and current location for delivery of your replacement card.

    Check your account balance and transaction history using either Internet Banking or your Mobile Banking App. If there have been any unauthorised transactions report it to Credit Union SA on +618 8202 7777 during business hours.

  • Do you have a balance transfer option?

    We offer 0% pa on balance transfers for six months at any time on your credit card plus one of the lowest ongoing interest rates in Australia on purchases and cash advances.

  • How do I apply for a credit card?

    You can apply for a Visa credit card through any of the following methods:

  • What if I think my card has been compromised?

    If you think your card may have fraudulent transactions on it, you can temporarily deactivate it, using Internet Banking or your Mobile Banking App. Then immediately call us on (08) 8202 7777 within business hours or send a secure message via Internet Banking so we can investigate the transactions further.

    If it is outside of contact hours you can contact our fraud team directly on +612 8299 9534.

  • What do I need to be able to use Visa payWave?

    All you need is a Visa card with the payWave feature. All new Credit Union SA Visa cards are issued with payWave enabled.

    However, you can turn payWave off at any time using Internet Banking or your Mobile Banking App. It’s simple to do and puts you in control of the way your card works.

  • What do I do if my card is expiring?

    Credit Union SA will automatically reissue your card to you in the month before it expires. However, if you want to order a card at any time, please call us on (08) 8202 7777 or visit us at 400 King William Street, Adelaide.

  • Can I set up automatic payments each month from my savings account?

    Yes – we offer the ability to set up a balance sweep to automatically pay your credit card amount in full each month, helping you manage your finances and reduce fees.

  • Can I turn my Digital Wallet off?

    Yes, you can easily turn off your Digital Wallet (which includes your Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, Fitbit Pay, Garmin Pay), using Internet Banking or your Mobile Banking App  here’s how:

    1. Update the App to the latest version & log in
    2. Go to the Card management menu item
    3. Select your card from your card list
    4. Click on Card controls
    5. Deactivate your Digital Wallet by clicking the toggle off, alongside the Digital wallet option (to reactivate, just click the toggle back on)

    Internet Banking

    1. Log in to your Internet Banking
    2. Click on the Cards icon in the top navigation bar
    3. Select Card management and complete the Two-Factor Authentication
    4. Click on Card controls alongside the relevant card
    5. Deactivate your Digital wallet by clicking the toggle off, alongside the Digital wallet option (to reactivate, just click the toggle back on)
  • How do I change my PIN?

    You can update your Personal Identification Number (PIN) through Internet Banking or your Mobile Banking App.

    To update your PIN via the Mobile Banking App, go to the left side menu and select ‘Card Management’ and select the card you want and then select ‘Change card PIN’ and ‘Change’.

    To update in your Internet Banking, select the ‘Cards’ tab from the top of the screen, then Card Management’ from the drop down menu. Enter your Two-Factor Authentication if / when prompted. Click on the drop down arrow and select the card number you wish to change the PIN on and select the radio button ‘Change my card’s PIN Confirm’.

    Your PIN will be updated immediately.

     

  • How do I turn the payWave option off on my card?

    If you don’t want to ‘tap and pay’, you can easily disable payWave on your card using Internet Banking or your Mobile Banking App  here’s how:

    1. Update the App to the latest version & log in
    2. Go to the Card management menu item
    3. Select your card from your card list
    4. Click on Card controls
    5. Deactivate your payWave by clicking the toggle alongside the payWave option (to reactivate, just click the toggle back on)

  • How can I temporarily lock my card?

    If you’ve misplaced your card, you can temporarily deactivate it until it turns up again, using Internet Banking or your Mobile Banking App – here’s how:

    1. Update the App to the latest version & log in
    2. Go to the Card management menu item
    3. Select your card from your card list
    4. Deactivate your card by clicking on the Lock icon (to reactivate, just click on the Unlock icon)

  • How do I block international payments on my card?

    If you’re not making international purchases either online or overseas, you can easily block international payments on your card using Internet Banking or your Mobile Banking App  here’s how: 

    Mobile Banking App

    1. Update the App to the latest version & log in
    2. Go to the Card management menu item
    3. Select your card from your card list
    4. Click on Card controls
    5. Deactivate international payments by turning the ‘International’ toggle off, within the In-Store purchases, Online purchases and ATM withdrawals sections (to reactivate, just click the toggle back on)

    3. Select your card from your card list
    4. Click on Card controls
    5. Deactivate online purchases by turning the (Australia and/or International) toggles off, within the Online purchases section (to reactivate, just click the toggle back on)
