Mobile Banking App

Available for both Apple and Android smart devices, the Credit Union SA Mobile Banking App allows you to utilise all the best functionality of our website and Internet Banking services – anytime and anywhere you have an internet connection.

  

With our Mobile Banking App, you can:

  • check balances and view your account history
  • make transfers between your Credit Union SA accounts
  • transfer to other Credit Union SA members or other financial institutions
  • make international transfers
  • pay bills via BPAY®
  • view uncleared funds
  • set up scheduled payments
  • temporarily lock a lost or stolen card
  • change your card's PIN
  • notify us of your overseas travel
  • open a new Savings Account or Term Deposit
  • view your eStatements.

Get started

Our new Mobile Banking App requires operating system that is at least 6.0 for Android and iOS 11.0 for Apple devices. You can check which version you are running in your smart device settings.

Three easy steps to get started:

  1. Become a registered Credit Union SA Internet Banking user. 
  2. Visit the iTunes App Store or Google Play to download the app.
  3. Open the app and register your smart device using your Internet Banking membership number and password. You will also be prompted to choose a PIN or pattern login to secure your device.

Key things to remember:

  • Don’t keep your member number and PIN code with your smart device
  • Use the log out button when you’re done, however you will be automatically logged out of the app after five minutes of inactivity
  • Contact us if you’ve lost your smart device or feel that someone may know your login details
  • You must be registered for internet banking to have access to the app.

Note: mobile data usage charges may apply, check with your mobile service provider for details.

Collection of app usage data

Just so you’re aware, we do collect anonymous information on how members use the app so that we can identify ways to make it even more useful for you. So by installing the app you’ll be giving your consent for this to happen. But rest assured, we don’t collect any personal information.


Two-factor Authentication registration

Extra security for peace of mind. Every time your member number is registered on our Mobile Banking App we will ask for a confirmation code, which we will send to the mobile number we have registered to your account.


Fingerprint login

The app only requires a four-digit PIN or pattern login. Login can also be setup using fingerprint ID. Find out more.

  • Do I need to register for the Mobile Banking App?

    When you download the app, you will be asked on your first access to setup your Mobile Banking App PIN number or identification pattern. You must be registered for Internet Banking and will need to use your Internet Banking Password to validate your identity.

  • Can I turn my Digital Wallet off?

    Yes, you can easily turn off your Digital Wallet (which includes your Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, Fitbit Pay, Garmin Pay), using Internet Banking or your Mobile Banking App  here’s how:

    Mobile Banking App

    1. Update the App to the latest version & log in
    2. Go to the Card management menu item
    3. Select your card from your card list
    4. Click on Card controls
    5. Deactivate your Digital Wallet by clicking the toggle off, alongside the Digital wallet option (to reactivate, just click the toggle back on)

    Internet Banking

    1. Log in to your Internet Banking
    2. Click on the Cards icon in the top navigation bar
    3. Select Card management and complete the Two-Factor Authentication
    4. Click on Card controls alongside the relevant card
    5. Deactivate your Digital wallet by clicking the toggle off, alongside the Digital wallet option (to reactivate, just click the toggle back on)
  • What is the difference between the Mobile Banking App and Internet Banking?

    Mobile Banking App is an application that is downloaded to your smart device via the app store that makes accessing your accounts even easier. Once your Mobile Banking App is setup, you can access your accounts at the touch of a button using a four digit PIN or fingerprint. 

    Mobile Banking App provides you with access to the most popular Internet Banking features including:

    • Checking your balances and transaction history
    • Transferring money from or to other Credit Union SA members
    • Transferring money to other financial institutions
    • Paying a bill using BPAY®

    Internet Banking is accessed via a web browser which can still be accessed on your smart device or desktop computer using your account number and password. For services such as loan redraw, or opening a new savings account, you will need to access Internet Banking from a web browser on a computer or smart device.

  • Is the Mobile Banking App free?

    Yes. The Credit Union SA Mobile Banking App is free. However, mobile service charges may apply. Check with your mobile phone service provider for specific details.

  • How do I turn the payWave option off on my card?

    If you don’t want to ‘tap and pay’, you can easily disable payWave on your card using Internet Banking or your Mobile Banking App  here’s how:

    Mobile Banking App           

    1. Update the App to the latest version & log in

    4. Click on Card controls

    Internet Banking

    1. Log in to your Internet Banking

  • What versions of iOS or Android phones are supported?

    Apple devices

    Requires a minimum iOS version11.0 and above. Visit the iTunes store to update your software, or update from General Settings in your iPhone.

    Android

    Requires a minimum OS version 6.0 and above.


    Not all mobile handsets are capable of accessing and using Mobile Banking App for Android. If you are unable to download the new app it may be due to your phone not supporting the correct operating system.

  • How many login attempts are there with the Mobile Banking App?

    If there are three unsuccessful attempts to login to the Mobile Banking App your Internet Banking access will be locked. You will need to call us on (08) 8202 7777 or visit us at 400 King William Street, Adelaide to get this unlocked.

  • What measures can I take in securing my smart device?

    Your smart device is not 'just a phone'. Treat these like your wallet and keep them safe and secure at all times. Here are some tips for securing your smart device:

    • Put a password on your phone and a PIN on your SIM card
    • Set up your device to automatically lock
    • Ensure your member numbers and Internet Banking passwords are never stored on your smart device
    • Encrypt your data - encryption secures your data if your phone is lost or stolen
    • Consider installing security software from a reputable provider
    • Keep an eye on your commonly used websites' addresses and make sure you are not redirected or diverted to other sites
    • Do not click on unsolicited or unexpected links
    • Check your mobile phone bill for unusual data charges or premium call rates
    • Check for updates to your phone's operating system regularly
    • Avoid mobile phone banking or financial transactions in busy public areas and over unsecured Wi-Fi networks
    • Back up your data regularly
    • Consider changing your Internet Banking password if your mobile phone is lost or stolen
    • Ensure all personal information and data is deleted if you discard your mobile phone
