Introducing our new recruits
Welcome to the team!
Over the last three months, we’ve had some new faces join our team. It’s an understatement to say that we’re excited about all the skills, knowledge, and overall awesomeness they bring to our workplace.
So, let's meet our new recruits...
Hi, I’m Amanda-Lea, I’m the new Chief People and Strategy Officer. I previously worked as the Executive General Manager, People, Culture & Safety (including Environment) at the Power & Water Corporation in the Northern Territory and spent time in Executive and senior roles at Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Mars Australia, Territory Insurance Office and Australian Vintage Limited.
I’ve joined the team as a Member Relationship Consultant while I finish my Bachelor of Business at Uni SA. In my spare time, I love watching shows like Umbrella Academy and I’m a fan of the Marvel franchise. The majority of my weekends are spent catching up with friends and family and if I could be anywhere, I'd choose Canada, it's always been on my list.
I’m a new Member Relationship Consultant. I'm in my final year of a Bachelor of Business (Economics, Finance & Trade), transitioning into a Masters of Finance next year. Playing soccer semi-professionally for the Sturt Lions is a massive part of my life, taking up three nights a week plus games on the weekend! The rest of my spare time is spent with family and friends.
I’m a new Business Analyst. Before working at Credit Union SA, I worked at the City of Marion Council here in Adelaide and before that at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) in Sydney. My husband and I have two precious little girls who are the best of friends and together we love cooking, baking and finding new playgrounds to explore on weekends (weather permitting)!
I’m a new Member Relationship Consultant. I’m currently completing my Bachelor of Criminal Justice at Uni SA here in the City, with only one semester to go! In my spare time, I enjoy catching up with friends and drinking wine from the Hunter Valley with a delicious cheese platter. I've been practising my sewing skills and recently made a skirt, but my overall goal is to make the perfect pair of trousers one day.
I’m currently working as an Accounting Officer in the Finance department. I’m in my third year of studying a Bachelor of Laws and Accounting. I like to keep busy, so I volunteer at the Women’s Legal Service and work casually as a Library Assistant at the University of Adelaide. When I do have spare time, I love painting, and I’ve recently taken up the hobby of rock painting! I also greatly enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my Flemish Giant, Moose.
I’m a new Product Specialist. I’ve worked in the financial industry for over 14 years and I’m excited to join the team at Credit Union SA. I love spending time on the river with my family and getting out on the jet ski and stand-up paddle-boarding. I have two wonderful kids that keep me busy and together we love to spend time playing and being outdoors. I love summer but having spent time living overseas I long for mountains and snow as well!
I'm Joann, the new Community Banking Manager. I previously worked as Head of Community Partnerships and PR at Peregrine Corporation. I’m passionate about building partnerships and networking, which can involve drinking a lot of coffee. I also love supporting the community and volunteer on the AWL Marketing Committee. When I’m not working, I keep busy with two teenage boys, a husband and my pet dog (Ruby). I enjoy cooking, entertaining, musical theatre, gardening and Pilates.
I've just joined the team as a Member Relationship Consultant! I’m currently in my final year at Adelaide Uni studying a Master of Applied Finance - one day hoping to be a CEO. I love coffee and my current regular is an iced latte. I'm always keen to have a chat about the footy, I go for Fremantle (sorry). Travel has always been on top of my list of things to do and I'd love to visit more countries.
I’ve recently joined the Credit Union SA team as Strategy and Governance Officer following eight years at the Adelaide Football Club. With an extensive background in Executive and Board support from Executive Assistant roles across the media and sporting industries, I’m looking forward to a new challenge in this role. I’m best known for being able to find a way out of almost any problem, whilst keeping calm of course. I’m a huge fan of all sports including AFL, NFL and F1.
Hi, I'm the new Finance Manager who ironically started on 30th of June. I recently worked in the wine industry as Finance Director Australia for the Jackson Family Wine Group, and prior to that as GM Finance in the not-for-profit disability sector within Scosa. On the weekend, I enjoy relaxing with yoga, a sneaky gin and family time. I’m looking forward to working for an SA based financial institution.
I'm Roberto, a new MIS Reporting Analyst in the Finance Team. I recently finished a Master of data science at The University of Adelaide. I’ve been working as a Data Scientist for start-ups and non-profit organisations for the last two years. Before that, I worked for technology and financial services companies in Latin America. In my spare time, I love playing sports, especially soccer and tennis. I also enjoy going to the beach on sunny days and catching up with friends. I'm looking forward to supporting our members with useful data.
Hey! I'm new to the Members Relationship Consultant role in the Members Experience Centre. I recently finished my degree in Environmental Management and Oceanography at Flinders University. When I’m not at work, I’m religiously watching AFL - Brisbane Lions are my team. I also love playing all types of video games and have seen The Office about six times over.
