Rewards and Benefits

We’re here to help South Australians thrive, starting with our own team through a range of supportive, meaningful benefits.

At Credit Union SA, we put people first, and that includes our incredible team members.

When you join us, you’ll enjoy real benefits that genuinely support your wellbeing, career and work-life balance. From flexible work options and extra leave to ongoing development and so much more, here’s how we recognise and value your unique contributions at Credit Union SA so you can thrive.

Being member-owned means we can prioritise what truly matters: our people, our members and the South Australian community. Our values aren't just words on a wall; they’re lived through the initiatives that bring us together, celebrate our diversity, and connect us with the communities we serve.

  • Social Club: Our fun, friendly and active Social Club Committee organises regular events and activities for Credit Union SA team members, so we can all get together, celebrate and connect.
  • Family Fun Day: Our annual Family Fun Day is a wonderful opportunity for our people and their families to get together and enjoy great food, coffee, games and live music in a relaxed atmosphere.
  • People and Culture Committee: Comprising team members across Credit Union SA, our People and Culture Committee strengthens our commitment to diversity and inclusion by looking at ways we can celebrate, acknowledge and get involved in significant events throughout the year.
    • We celebrate or acknowledge numerous events and culturally significant days, including:
      • International Women’s Day
      • Ramadan
      • Harmony Day
      • Domestic Violence Prevention Month
      • IDAHOBIT
      • Reconciliation Week
      • World Environment Day
  • Volunteering Opportunities: Connecting with our community is so important to us at Credit Union SA, which is why we provide our team members with opportunities to share their time and skills by volunteering with organisations close to our heart.

Learn, grow and progress your career with online training, internal and external development opportunities, study assistance, paid study leave, and assistance with professional membership fees.

Take time out to fill your cup with four Thrive Days a year and a paid day off to celebrate your birthday.

Stay fit and healthy with access to our on-site gym and bike racks, wellbeing program and annual flu shots.

Need extra support? Our Employee Assistance Program provides you and your family with free professional counselling whenever you need it, and you are also supported by trained First Aiders and Mental Health First Aiders.

Be rewarded for your outstanding contributions with our annual CEO Awards, Service Awards and Milestone Recognition.

We’ll work with you to find a balance that’s right. For some roles, that means combining working from home with days in the office to connect with colleagues face to face. We encourage you to clock off on time so you can focus on what matters most, and we respect your right to disconnect.

Our leave options are all about embracing individual differences and giving people of all backgrounds the support they need to thrive and grow in our workplace.

  • Parental Leave: We support all full-time, part-time and eligible casual staff with Employer Funded Paid Parental and Partner Leave. This is in addition to the Australian Government-provided Parental Leave Pay.
  • Public Holiday Exchange: Celebrate and observe the days that matter most to you through our Public Holiday Exchange Policy. This includes the choice to switch the public holiday on 26 January for an alternative day off, as we recognise it’s not a day of celebration for many people.
  • Paid Family and Domestic Violence Leave: We provide 20 days of paid Family and Domestic Violence Leave to give people and families more time to seek help without risking their income.

Make your pay go further with salary-sacrificing options and discounts on health insurance, general insurance, financial planning and loan products.

For our non-member facing roles you can bring more of yourself to work through your own choice of clothes - there’s no corporate dress code here.
