How can I prevent my Joint Account from being shared by either Account owner?
You can prevent data sharing from occurring by disabling the account from data sharing or by managing user permissions.
For Joint Accounts:
- Login to Internet Banking and select Settings > Sharing > Joint Account Sharing which will display a list of your Joint Accounts.
- Select Disable next to the Account which you don’t want to have shared.
For Signatories/Secondary Users:
- Login to Internet Banking and select Settings > Sharing > Secondary User Permissions which will display a list of all accounts.
- Select Manage next to the account you wish to prevent sharing from. Secondary User/Signatory information will display for you to “toggle off” the permission to share.
These settings can be updated at any time following the same process.
