Being South Australian ourselves, we love to support other SA businesses and there’s no better time than over the holiday season!

It’s not only a great way to help improve our local economy but also the perfect way to support SA creators and entrepreneurs.

So we’ve put a list together of some amazing local gift shops that we love to buy from.

Have you met Charlie

Pop into Have you met Charlie? at the Mall, or down Jetty Road, Brighton to find an incredible collection of beautiful and quirky handmade products from South Australian artists. It’s the perfect place to buy a gift for that friend who has everything!

Jax & Co

If you want to buy statement pieces, look no further than Jax & Co.

With a beautiful range of reclaimed wood and floral resin creations, you will be blown away by the quality and uniqueness of each piece. Best of all, everything is ethically sourced and crafted in Waikerie, South Australia.

Aboriginal Art House

For unique artwork, you can't go past the Aboriginal Art House based in Hahndorf. Make sure you put some time aside when you visit as you'll have hundreds of high quality pieces from the Central and Western Deserts to choose from - it’s tough trying to settle on just one!

Suci Plants and Living

You will find this little gem on Goodwood Road full of lush greenery. When you step into Suci's it’s like somewhere you’ve never been before; a jungle of gorgeous plants, pots and stylish homewares. It’s impossible to walk out empty handed – trust me!

OmMade Meet the Maker

OmMade is a collaboration of some of Adelaide's finest creators - featuring 21 small local businesses across three stores. This unique retail concept not only makes it easy to support South Australian businesses, but you can also meet the makers behind each product, which we think is pretty cool! Drop in at Adelaide Central Market Arcade, Westfield Marion or Rundle Place.

O’Connell’s Bookshop

Buying for a book lover? A visit to Adelaide’s oldest second-hand bookshop is sure to delight both shopper and giftee. O’Connell’s Bookshop on Bank Street is a third-generation family business that has a vast range of books, specialising in the rare and unusual. And if you’re lucky, you might even to get meet their resident whippet, Oscar!

And don’t forget to visit the classics
