Member Experience Team
Experienced company director and executive Louise Small has been appointed to the Board of Credit Union SA.
Ms Small joins Credit Union SA having established a reputation as a strategic and collaborative leader in a career spanning a range of industries from banking and finance to housing and sports.
Ms Small is currently a Director of the Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority, a Commissioner with the SANFL Commission and General Manager of Turnbull Built.
Louise has previously held senior management roles with Mortgage Choice and Adelaide Bank, worked closely with the Adelaide Football Club and Adelaide Thunderbirds as well as served on the Boards of SCOSA and the Sammy D Foundation.
As a Credit Union SA Board member, Louise will work closely with her Director colleagues and the Executive Management team in setting the strategic direction of South Australia’s third largest credit union.
Credit Union SA Chair Carolyn Mitchell said Louise’s appointment ensures the Board maintains high-performing individuals representing a diverse range of backgrounds, talents and financial skills.
“Louise is an extremely impressive and well-rounded professional,” Ms Mitchell said.
“Her wealth of experience, broad skillset and strategic approach are highly valued.”
Ms Small’s appointment comes as Alexandrea Cannon retires from the Board.
Alexandrea was the inaugural Board Chair of Credit Union SA when it was created by the merger of Satisfac and Powerstate Credit Unions in 2009. She stepped down as Chair in 2017 but remained on the Board and its Audit and Governance Committees.
“Alexandrea has contributed greatly to the success of Credit Union SA,” Ms Mitchell said.
“She remains a dear friend of our organisation and we wish her every future success.”
