Who can open this account?
- Children aged 12 or older can open their own Children’s Savings Account without a parent or guardian, provided they are not already linked to a membership.
- For children under 12, a parent or guardian can open the account on their behalf.
How to open it?
Children aged 12-15 simply need to visit our branch with their birth certificate or passport. The friendly branch team will assist in setting up the account and starting the savings journey.
If you are unable to visit our branch, you can either send a Secure Mail (for current members, by logging into internet banking) or call our Member Contact Centre on 138 777 who can provide alternate options.
Children aged 16 – 17 can open a membership online via our website here. Valid identification will be required (drivers’ licence, passport or birth certificate – must be original or certified copy).
