What a success!
The 2021 'Women on the Run' took place on Sunday 21 March and was a sell out! Getting a whopping 440 registrations, a big jump from 246 last year.
A massive $30,000 was raised to support more women through the Zahra Foundations programs and services.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all who participated in the run, volunteered on the day or donated items for Foodbank. Your support makes a huge difference to Zahra Foundation and to South Australian families going through domestic abuse situations.
The sun was shining and the weather was perfect. There were women, men, kids and even some furry friends - all walking, or running, together to raise funds and awareness for this incredibly important cause. We were proud to be a part of it.
The team from Zahra welcomed everyone with a free coffee and at the end of the race we were treated to a bottle of water and a free cap!

Our donations to make a difference
Our wonderful staff donated these incredible items that were donated for Foodbank! This generosity helped us fill our backpacks for the day and was donated to help fight hunger in South Australia. Every can, tin or personal care item will make an impact on the life of someone in our community. Thank you to everyone who donated for your support.
The Zahra Foundation
The Zahra Foundation is a South Australian based charity supporting women and children affected by domestic and family violence. It was established in 2015 after the tragic murder of Zahra Abrahimzadeh, who was killed by her former husband in 2010 after enduring 20 years of domestic violence. Zahra Foundation aim to specifically address the financial abuse and disadvantage women experience as a result of domestic violence, providing specifically tailored programs and services that promote the economic empowerment of women.
