Knowledge Counts banking benefits are available to any current or retired employee of the South Australian education community, as well as students carrying out studies in education. If you work as an SSO, receptionist, contract teacher, TRT, student teacher, groundsman, TAFE lecturer, librarian, classroom teacher or University co-ordinator (just to name a few), you are eligible for our Knowledge Counts banking benefits.
Plus, your immediate family members (parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren, siblings and partners only) are eligible too.

Relationship Manager
Peter has worked in the finance industry for 30 years in a variety of roles. He has been helping Credit Union SA members for the past 16 years, six as a Mobile Lending Manager and now a Relationship Manager, primarily assisting South Australian educators do more with their money. Peter regularly visits schools on the Eyre Peninsula, Fleurieu Peninsula and Eastern, Western and Southern Adelaide. Peter also attends numerous education conferences in both the metropolitan area and country regions.
John Elvin
Relationship Manager
John has worked in the finance industry for over 30 years with a variety of roles including business banking, investment and lending. He has been with Credit Union SA for 16 years as a Mobile Lending Manager and now a Relationship Manager primarily in the Northern region, helping South Australian educators to do more with their money. John has visited almost every school and attended every education related conference in South Australia!

Nothing! You will continue to receive our Knowledge Counts banking benefits. Retired education workers and their eligible immediate family members are still entitled to join and receive our banking benefits for the South Australian education community.
Yes. Our Knowledge Counts banking benefits are available to all members of the South Australia education community and their eligible immediate family members. This includes early childhood educators and students studying early childhood education.
If you’re an existing member of Credit Union SA and you have an eligible immediate family member that is part of the South Australian education community (parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren, siblings and partner only), send us a Secure Mail message or call us on (08) 8202 7777, and we can help you receive our Knowledge Counts banking benefits. Eligibility criteria applies.
If you’re not a member of Credit Union SA but have an eligible immediate family member that is part of the education community, you can still receive all the benefits just by joining Credit Union SA online and selecting ‘Education’ from the drop-down box in the online application form.
