What happens if my bank account that I receive a Services Australia income support or Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) payment into is overdrawn at the time I receive the payment?

Under the Code of Operation, you should be able to retain at least 90% of your eligible Services Australia income support or DVA payment in any fortnightly period even if your bank account is overdrawn.
