Education Partner: Credit Union SA

SALA Festival South Australian Living Artists Festival

Credit Union SA is proud to be the Education Partner for the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival.

Established in 1998, the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival is the largest open access visual arts festival in Australia. For the entire month of August, audiences are able to explore, engage with and discover the work of South Australian artists in a diverse range of unique spaces across the CBD, suburbs and SA regions, as locations from cafes and restaurants to schools, wineries, fashion outlets and other small businesses are turned into 'pop up' galleries.

In 2018, we produced the Credit Union SA Tram Gallery in collaboration with artist Vans the Omega. The tram travelled between the city and Glenelg from early July through to mid-September.

In addition to raising the profile of the SALA Festival, Credit Union SA’s partnership also aims to encourage South Australian schools to participate, with a range of school art prizes on offer.

Registration is FREE for exhibiting schools, with Credit Union SA covering the registration fees. Download the SALA Festival Education Information Pack.

Credit Union SA will present art prizes for best primary school exhibition, best secondary school exhibition as well as best student artist in both categories.

Credit Union SA is excited to be supporting an event which last year brought together more than 6,300 artists of all ages and backgrounds across 660 exhibitions and events around South Australia, estimated to have been attended by over 800,000 people. Best of all Australia’s largest celebration of visual arts is FREE!
