School Community Rewards
Helping to generate a regular financial benefit for your school.
School Community Rewards provides a regular financial benefit for your school without having to donate any time or money. So far, our School Community Rewards program has raised a grand total of $326,063.00 for participating South Australian Schools!
In return for individual members of the school community banking with Credit Union SA, we’ll reward your nominated school with regular financial benefits.
- Individual members of your school community – parents, grandparents, friends, teachers – simply open any of Credit Union SA’s highly competitive banking products. This can include home and personal loans, credit cards, savings and transaction accounts, insurance and more.
- Those individuals nominate a school as their School Community Rewards beneficiary.
- Credit Union SA will then regularly donate a portion of our profits to the school, providing valuable extra funds to use however the school wishes including computers for classrooms, playground equipment or sports equipment to name a few.
How School Community Rewards can benefit your school
How parents and schools can benefit
You pocket real savings
Make no mistake, you stand to benefit from banking with Credit Union SA just as much as your school. Take the experience of Matt and Sarah, whose son attends Reynella Primary School.
Matt and Sarah switched their home loan to Credit Union SA from a Big Four bank in 2015:
“Our loan rate is lower, the terms are more flexible, and the service has been wonderful. We can now save hundreds each year.”
Your school raises real funds
Reynella Primary School joined School Community Rewards in 2014. Since then, 108 members of that school community have opened products with Credit Union SA and the school has received nearly $13,000 as a result.
Jenny Berry, Woodcroft Primary School Governing Council
"Since we’ve started the program we’ve received $23,000, and it just keeps growing! Best thing is we can use the money for whatever we like. We’ve chosen to use it for fitness equipment that the kids love, which we couldn’t have otherwise afforded."
Steve Freeman, former Principal of Reynella Primary School
"It's been an enormous help, allowing us to fund projects for students that otherwise would have still been in the planning stage. School Community Rewards has allowed us to build a verandah to link classrooms, helped with the development of our nature play area, and significantly reduced pressure on our volunteer-based fundraising efforts."
Jonno, parent at Highbury Primary School
"To make a $1,000 profit for the school, we would normally need to buy supplies (bread, sauces, snags, onions, serviettes) promote the barbeque, roster some parents, setup the barbeque, and then cook and sell at least 700 sausages. Don’t forget the crying from the onions too!
Don’t get me wrong, the school, our parents and friends love the barbeques, but it’s just not always an easy event to pull together."
Offer is current as at 25/08/2020 and is subject to change.
